I've tested a lot of AI tools. Not demos — actually used them for real work over weeks, tracked time, measured what changed. The results are more interesting and more honest than most AI coverage gives you.

Here's what actually saves time, what sounds good but doesn't, and how to think about your own evaluation.

The Honest Evaluation Framework#

Baseline: How long did this take me before? Not in theory — in my actual workflow last month.
