The quiet power of shared chats
Why making a chat thread visible to the whole org (instead of private to one user) compounds knowledge faster than any doc.

The quiet power of shared chats
The default in most chat products is private. Your chat with the AI is yours. The doc you write afterwards is everyone's.
That order is backwards. Shared chats compound knowledge faster because:
- Reuse is automatic. A teammate asking the same question lands in your thread, sees the answer, doesn't ask twice.
- Errors get corrected. Someone reads the chat and notices the agent grabbed the wrong number; they correct it; the correction lives forever.
- Onboarding shrinks. Reading shared chats teaches a new hire the how of the team faster than any doc.
Dench defaults agent chats to private and team chats to shared, then makes it one click to flip. We've watched orgs go from 100% private to 70% shared inside a quarter as the muscle memory builds.
